Contributions in strategic areas for society
The contributions granted to these 323 social organizations during the first six months of the year focused on strategic areas for the development of the country, such as health, the environment, education, social management, inclusion and culture, among others.
Among the beneficiary institutions are initiatives such as Nido para Ángeles, dedicated to the comprehensive care of children with cerebral palsy; the Friends Against Childhood Cancer Foundation (FACCI), focused on medical and emotional support for children with cancer; and First Lego League, which promotes STEAM careers in young people through robotics and innovation.
These actions reflect the sustainability vision that guides Banco Popular's actions and are framed within the commitments made by the organization to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the goals established in the National Development Strategy 2030.
In this way, through its responsible banking model, Banco Popular continues to promote initiatives that strengthen the social fabric, provide solutions to structural problems, and promote more equitable human development for all Dominicans.
