Air Century inaugurated its new route network from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), starting from Cartagena, Colombia, and serving the most important destinations in the Caribbean.
In the first stage from Punta Cana, the airline, in addition to the South American country, will fly to Saint Martin and Havana starting on December 19, and to Aruba and Curaçao starting on December 22.
The flights will be operated on CRJ200 aircraft, offering travelers new connection possibilities between these destinations and contributing to the growth of tourism in the country.
"We are extremely pleased to inaugurate this new route network from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), the main gateway for tourists to the country, and to offer them more connection options with the Caribbean," said Omar Chahin, president of Air Century.
"Connectivity is key to the development of tourism. With these routes, we seek to promote the concept of multi-destination travel, so that our passengers have the opportunity to choose itineraries that allow them to collect unforgettable experiences in these Caribbean cities," he added.
Flights to Aruba and Curaçao will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while flights to St. Maarten, Havana, and Cartagena will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The scheduled connections are: St. Maarten-Cartagena on Thursdays and Sundays, and St. Maarten-Havana on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
"This strategic alliance responds to our mission to continue being the airport with the most air traffic in the Dominican Republic, receiving 69% of the tourists who arrive in our country," said Giovanni Rainieri, Airside Operations Director of Punta Cana International Airport.
