The organization stated that a training course advertised for the end of June is not part of its official programs
SANTO DOMINGO. – The Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies (AEI) on Tuesday addressed a promotion circulating on various digital media outlets regarding an alleged “CBR-01” certification, which is attributed to the organization but is not true.
The organization that represents real estate agents in the country clarified that this activity is not related to the institution nor does it have its support.
The warning was issued in a statement in which the organization reported that the program, promoted to take place between June 23 and 27, is not part of its academic agenda or the training it regularly offers to the real estate sector.
The clarification comes after the advertisement began circulating among agents, companies and professionals linked to the real estate market, which has generated concern about its origin and legitimacy.
Concern in the sector
In its message, the AEI urged those interested to confirm the authenticity of any course, certification, or training program through the organization's official channels.
The organization also urged caution regarding potentially misleading information and reiterated that certifications endorsed by the association are disseminated solely through its institutional platforms.
"Protect your investment and avoid becoming a victim of scams or misleading information," the organization stated in the document.
Ongoing investigation
The AEI informed El Inmobiliario that a person contacted the association to alert them about the false promotion of the aforementioned certification and even identified a possible person responsible.
However, so far there is no evidence to independently confirm this information, so the version remains under verification.
While the origin of the academic offer is being clarified, the AEI reiterated that anyone interested can validate information about courses and certifications through its contact numbers and official channels.
