SANTO DOMINGO.– “Women Who Build,” in its third installment, returns on March 19th, an event organized by the Association of Housing Builders and Promoters (Acoprovi), to highlight the role of women in the Dominican construction industry, coinciding with International Women's Day this month.
“At Acoprovi we are committed to highlighting the work and contributions of women in the construction sector, which is why we created spaces like the Women Who Build panel,” the entity emphasizes, through an Instagram post.
Six prominent women linked to the world of concrete blocks will be leading the informative panel, which will highlight the role that women have played in recent decades in this vital sector of the national economy.
“We extend the invitation to all members and associates of the sector to attend the third edition of our Women Who Build panel on Tuesday, March 19, at the JW Marriott Hotel, Grand Ballroom,” explains the builders' association.
The event will take place from eight in the morning to twelve in the afternoon and will feature Amanda Musa, CEO of Amanda Interiores; Diana Dalmasy, CEO of Diana Dalmasy & Asociados; and Deyanira Pappaterra, Director of Tourism Business at Banreservas.
In addition, the third edition of “Women Who Build” will feature Ally Dantes, civil engineer and influencer; Rosa M. Pablo, CEO of Vanta SRL and Ashley Morales, director of the Center for Research on Resilience and Multi-Hazard Risks (CIRRMA), of the Pontifical Catholic University Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).
During the second edition, the Vice Minister of Housing of Panama, Daniela Argelis Martínez López, and the architect Liza Ortega, among others, served as panelists.
The event premiered in March 2022 and featured as speakers architect Yermys Peña, from Studio YP; Vivian Reyes Roca, Vice Minister of Standards, Regulations and Procedures of the Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED) and Rosanna Ruiz, Executive President of the Association of Commercial Banks of the Dominican Republic (ABA).
