SANTO DOMINGO.- While delivering 500 apartments yesterday in the community of San Luis, President Luis Abinader stated that his government is 3 to 1 ahead in housing delivery compared to the administration of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).
The president led the ceremony for the handover of the first 500 apartments in San Luis, Santo Domingo East, of the My Housing Plan, which projects to build a total of 2,440, with an estimated budget of more than 7 billion pesos.
Abinader stated that it is rare for a government to deliver 500 apartments at the same time and asserted that a home is the best policy that can exist and that a woman's first goal is to own her own home.

For his part, Carlos Bonilla, head of the Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED), explained that 3,300 residences have already been delivered under the My Housing Plan.
This administration has allocated around 15 billion pesos to the program, in partnership with Banreservas, which finances up to 60% of the cost of housing.
The project
Mi Vivienda San Luis is built on more than 218,000 square meters, in three groups of apartments with 3 and 2 bedrooms each, called San Luis I, San Luis II and San Luis III, directly benefiting 8,296 people and generating 5,400 direct jobs.
In addition to the construction of residential buildings, it includes the distribution of more than 12,000 square meters of green areas, recreation areas and parking lots.
The keys to the first homes were handed over to the Erazo Sánchez, Torres King and Feliz Gómez families.
