SANTIAGO.-This Saturday, President Luis Abinader led the delivery of the first150 apartments of the "Mi Vivienda Hato del Yaque" project to families from the communities of Arroyo Gurabo, in this district.
The total development of the project will have an investment of RD 2,796 million and includes the construction of 1,200 apartments.
It is estimated that this project will benefit more than 4,000 families in extreme vulnerability on the banks of ravines and rivers in the area, which will also be addressed under a sanitation plan developed by the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewerage (INAPA).
The Minister of Housing, Habitat, and Buildings (MIVHED), Carlos Bonilla, stated that the project represents a drastic change for the families, who will go from living on the banks of a polluted ravine, where their health is at risk, to living in their own apartments with the conditions that every citizen deserves. "This is the change and the future we are committed to," the official declared.
The project will be divided into three lots with a total of 150 four-level buildings with three bedrooms, a bathroom, living-dining room, kitchen and balcony.
The project, which includes a green and institutional area, basketball courts and a baseball field, a play area, recreation areas and parking, contributes to generating more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs in the northern area
