SANTO DOMINGO- Social anthropologist Tahira Vargas stated today that the murder of architect Leslie Rosado was not an accident, but a contract killing.
"It wasn't an accident; that corporal was paid to murder the architect Leslie Rosado. In the police force, there are officers who are paid to carry out murders and crimes like those that exist in society. Someone paid that corporal to commit that crime," Vargas pointed out.
The social anthropologist explained that the circumstances of that event that lead her to harbor those suspicions are the persecution that took place and the fact that it was not to rob him, "all the indications tell you that that corporal carried out a task for which he was paid to kill and who knows if there were more people linked to that.".
"From when did he start chasing her, at what moment did he begin chasing her, she probably realized the chase long after it had already begun, why did he start the chase, it wasn't to rob her, it was to kill her, the fact tells you that it was to kill her, that was the objective, so someone paid the corporal to kill her," she stated in an interview on the program El Día, broadcast by Telesistema channel 11.
Another clue that, in Tahira Vargas's opinion, raises suspicions is the Navy truck that was involved in the pursuit of the architect, and the fact that the soldiers who were in it did nothing to prevent the crime.
"There was some kind of agreement to be protected, some kind of agreement, some money that was given to carry out that operation. One wonders, if these soldiers were there, why did they allow this to happen? If that truck was there and saw what was happening, why did they allow it to happen? Why did they allow the aggressor to go and take the victim to the hospital when that's not allowed, with authorities present? Why weren't things done as they should have been? So that shows that it wasn't an accident; it was a criminal operation, and there has to have been some payment involved," Vargas pointed out.
He also understands that people in Boca Chica probably know what happened and how it happened, "but a more in-depth investigation is needed there.".
