SANTO DOMINGO- Xavier Lora's greatest satisfaction in the real estate business is being able to help his clients acquire their most important investment: their property.
In addition to the above, they offer a product that suits what they are looking for, working with builders who meet the requirements of what they promise in a project plan and deliver what they deliver upon completion.
In four years of his career, this man from Santiago has managed to create his own company: Xora Real Estate Consulting, which is about to celebrate its first anniversary.
Currently, he is focusing on tourist properties and investment in the Punta Cana and Puerto Plata area, and is now venturing into Jarabacoa, Lora says in a conversation with El Inmobiliario.
The young agent observes that the profession is currently a little saturated.
"I see that nowadays anyone understands that they can dedicate themselves to and do the work of a real estate advisor, which is something a little delicate.".
He explains that the work of a real estate advisor goes far beyond selling a property.
“It’s a bit of a delicate matter, since this is an exercise that, although it may seem easy, is not as easy as people think, as it involves a lot of responsibility, follow-up, vetting, and due diligence that must be done both on the client and on the builder of the projects being promoted,” he says.
Regarding the law introduced in Congress to regulate real estate agents, he believes it is very necessary, because anyone thinks they can be a real estate agent.

“Because anyone thinks they can do this job, there have been many conflicts, many failed projects, many scams, so those kinds of things are what have currently affected our work as professionals,” the young man explains.
Lora views the proposal to establish a law quite favorably, as it is fair and necessary both for companies that are already registered and pay taxes, and for agents.
The key to success for a real estate agent, and a message for young people that Lora offers to those who wish to enter this area, is to do it with love and passion, values that have given her results.
“I’ve experienced significant growth in the sector in recent years. Working with responsibility and passion leads to quality work, and that’s reflected in the final purchase process,” he explains.
He says that you must show real interest and passion in what you are going to do, not just focusing on the economic aspect, since more than making a profit, you must offer a quality and renowned service to your clients.
So that the same satisfied client recommends and supports your work, and you can climb and grow as a real estate advisor in the sector.
“The work of an agent is full-time; someone who understands that they can be a real estate advisor and do another job will not dedicate the quality and time that the profession deserves, since an agent must give 100% to this work,” explains Xavier Lora.
Your company
Xora Consultoria Inmobiliaria is the project of Xavier Lora, who works with his team of 5 people and two colleagues for exclusive projects.
“To keep ourselves trained, what we use so far are workshops, congresses and all the various platforms that are enabled throughout the year, such as those offered by the Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies (AEI).
Busy, that's how Xavier defines a day in his life as an agent, however he understands that it is due to the growth aspect and the stage his company is in.
“Even at this level, a year after the founding of Xora, there are still many things that depend on me, such as content, relevant information, and services corresponding to each client; it's like a solo musician in an orchestra, doing everything at once,” he explains.
But he believes it's a process of adaptation and the time will come when things will be properly delegated and there won't be so much space to be taken up.
