Leslie Rosado, daughter of José Rosado, a developer with more than 30 years in the market, was murdered by National Police Corporal Janli Disla Batista on Saturday night, as she was returning from Bocha Chica to the capital, from her father's birthday celebration.
The young architect, mother of three children and one who was four months in her womb and whom she would name Elias; joins the wave of crimes that members of the National Police cheerfully commit against innocent citizens, whose lives they cut short without a word, using as their only option to pull the trigger and find out later.
Outrage was swift, and social media erupted once again against a police force that, despite attempts at reform, remains entrenched in its archaic methods.
