This is how the construction of the UASD in Hato Mayor is progressing

The first stage of construction of the Hato Mayor Regional University Center (CURHAMA) of the UASD, which includes a total of 38 study rooms, is 90% complete, said the Minister of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED), Carlos Bonilla, today.

The construction of the project, which covers an area of 12,520 square meters, was started in 2021 and will benefit around 4,000 students in that region.

Bonilla toured the site today to inspect the progress of the work and compliance with the construction schedule.

The university project will include 58 classrooms and ten laboratories, three of which will be computer labs. It will consist of four buildings, divided into different phases of construction: classroom space, a cafeteria, a library, an auditorium, and administrative facilities.

During the tour, Bonilla indicated that the supervision work carried out by the institution in the Eastern Region of the country is designed to ensure compliance with the work plan of the projects.

The MIVHED is also carrying out the construction of 5 UASD centers in Neyba, Baní, Azua, Santiago Rodríguez and Cotuí, an initiative that ensures the training of professionals in various careers throughout the national territory.
