Samaná is being promoted as a cultural and gastronomic tourist destination

SANTO DOMINGO.- With the goal of promoting the province of Samaná as a high-level tourist destination, combining natural beauty, culture, gastronomy, hospitality, and unique attractions on a peninsula that offers an unforgettable experience to its visitors, Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, the hotel division of Grupo Piñero, is introducing its new flexible accommodation options to the tourism market. These options are designed for travelers who want to spend more time getting to know, exploring, and enjoying the landscapes and customs of the destination.

A press release from the company states that the proposal is part of a strategy to meet the demands and trends of travelers. Therefore, the new bed and breakfast (BB) and half-board (HB) meal plans are focused on those who prefer to spend more time discovering the local landscape, culture, and gastronomy. The company seeks to evolve and offer new options adaptable to tourist needs, allowing guests to design their own experience and make it more personalized.

In response to this change, Lluisa Salord, SVP Global Sales, contracting and distribution Grupo Piñero, highlighted that as a Group they work hard to transform the way people travel and create exciting experiences that integrate respect for the environment and a real integration with the culture of the destinations.

"Therefore, the introduction of these new accommodation options will allow our guests to enjoy the authentic Samaná, a destination with unique natural richness," he explained.

Adapts to different audiences

The Piñero Group explains that Samaná, due to its extensive local tourism potential, is home to several projects of the brand such as Bahia Principe Grand Cayacoa, Bahia Principe Grand Samaná, and Bahia Principe Grand El Portillo, in addition to high-end resorts like Cayo Levantado Resort.

"These hotel options stand out for their diversity and adaptation to the preferences of visitors, offering a wide range of possibilities to all those who visit the region," said the executive.

The press release explains that regarding the new half-board system, the concept will be available from November 1, 2023 at Bahia Principe Grand Cayacoa in Samaná, which, with 295 rooms, allows guests of all ages to lose themselves in the spectacular views of Samaná Bay and connect with its wonderful natural landscape.

He adds that for nature lovers and culturally eager travelers, from December 1st of this year, Bahia Principe Grand Samaná will be the second hotel to offer the new rates.

"This Victorian-style hotel rises above the pristine natural surroundings, overlooking the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. This 149-room property is ideal for couples and adults who want to enjoy the adventures that Samaná offers in a privileged setting.".

The company explains that the introduction of the new systems responds to the new tourism context in which travelers increasingly seek greater authenticity and personalization; and is the result of the constant evolution of Grupo Piñero's business, which seeks to respond to new social trends.
