SANTO DOMINGO.- The destination city of Cap Cana kicked off Christmas last Friday with its traditional "Christmas Boat Parade" at the marina, in a night filled with magic, lights, shows, joy, music and characters that culminated with a drone show and fireworks.
More than 26 boats from the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic paraded this year, showcasing their creativity. The boats were decorated with hundreds of lights and various themes alluding to the Christmas holidays.

The most creative boats were awarded, with the Shark standing out among the most eye-catching, winning first place, followed by Latitud and Chirri, second and third place respectively.
More than 6,000 people attended this new edition, including owners who traveled from various cities in the United States, Canada, Spain, Mexico, Venezuela, and Puerto Rico.
881 people worked on the event, and more than 70 characters were featured on stage. In addition, children from the Heritage School in Cap Cana performed in an 84-voice choir.
The event gave great support to 33 local businesses, including community entrepreneurs who sold their products.

The Cap Cana marina, due to its inland construction and large size, made it possible for all participating boats, ranging in size from 80 to 120 feet in length, to parade and maneuver simultaneously and safely, in a unique spectacle in the Dominican Republic.
The Christmas Boat Parade, an original and exclusive event of its kind, showcased the beauty and nautical possibilities of Marina Cap Cana, welcoming the most beautiful season of the year.
