SANTO DOMINGO.-The presidential candidate for the Dominican Liberation Party, Abel Martínez, held a meeting with the Dominican Association of Housing Builders and Promoters (ACOPROVI).
The organization's president, Annerys Meléndez, thanked Martínez for his participation in this series of meetings, as it allows members and other stakeholders in the construction sector to hear his main proposals in the area.
"For ACOPROVI, modernizing the sector is of vital importance in areas such as promoting investment, building permits, regulations, and reducing the housing deficit.".
Meléndez stated that this series of meetings with the candidates has national significance: “We believe that it is not only useful for the leaders and participants of our sector, but also represents a contribution to democracy in the country, plurality, high-level political debate and collaborative work.”.
For his part, Martínez presented his government plan to those present, highlighting the implementation of public policies to boost the construction sector.
The presidential candidate was accompanied at this meeting by the general coordinator of the Technical Campaign Cabinet, the former Minister of Economy, Juan Ariel Jiménez, who was in charge of presenting the government program proposed by Martínez to the directors of ACOPROVI in greater detail.
This meeting is part of the series of meetings with the main candidates for the presidency of the Republic that the organization is carrying out.
The Dominican Association of Housing Builders and Promoters (ACOPROVI) was established on March 13, 1997, with its main objective being to regulate and promote the development of the construction and housing industries in the country.
