Qik Digital Bank recognized at the Effie Awards

SANTO DOMINGO.- – Qik Banco Digital Dominicano, SA – Multiple Bank, a subsidiary of Grupo Popular and the country's first neobank, won two awards in the categories of “Performance Marketing” and “Finance and Banking” at the Effie Awards, organized by the Dominican Association of Commercial Communication Companies (ADECC).

Both awards highlight the effectiveness of the ideas and strategy implemented by the bank to position its 100% digital value proposition and the benefits surrounding financial inclusion offered by its credit card, through innovative audiovisual commercials that connect with its target audience.

These awards were received by Qik executives and the creative team from the advertising agency Pagés BBDO, responsible for developing the winning ideas.

Facilitator of financial inclusion

The “Qik-Verse” was Qik’s launch advertising campaign, designed for media and the digital ecosystem. It was based on a universe full of alternatives, in which “qikers” or bank users discover more benefits with lower costs to manage their finances and grow.

For the execution of the advertising project, different characters and scenarios were created that represented how people's lives are made easier by using Qik and how the banking entity can offer timely solutions to people's needs when dealing with money.

Among the results of this campaign are achieving brand awareness of 77% in less than a year and acquiring more than 144,000 new customers in this time.

Meanwhile, the “Cocotú” campaign tells the story of those who need access to credit, but cannot receive it because they do not have a credit history or have a deteriorated one.

The narrative explores how Qik changes this situation, as the bank provides them with the opportunity to achieve financial inclusion through its credit card.

To connect with the audience, messages were used in a relatable style that reflected the everyday lives of Dominicans. The campaign resulted in a more than 58% increase in registration requests for the Qik app, the video reached over 260 million impressions, and it reached more than 5 million people on social media.
