SANTO DOMINGO – Banco Popular Dominicano and the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) signed an agreement to implement the Higher Technical Degree program in Banking Management, an educational initiative designed exclusively for the bank's staff working in the financial organization's branches, with the aim of continuing to strengthen their professional profile and provide opportunities for internal growth.
The initiative seeks to foster the academic progress of employees and contribute to their academic training to promote talent succession within the organization.

Thus, the Higher Technical Degree in Banking Management will be focused on employees in the teller and platform areas of Banco Popular. It will be offered online, will last two years, and those who successfully complete the program will have the option to validate their coursework to continue their studies and obtain a bachelor's degree.
Impact on customer service
By enhancing the skills of employees in areas such as cash management and the service platform, the bank will increase the quality of customer service, in line with market expectations and needs.
During the signing ceremony, Mrs. Antonia Antón de Hernández, Senior Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Cultural Transformation, Credit Administration and Compliance at Banco Popular, stated that “this agreement not only strengthens our bond with PUCMM, but also marks a significant step forward in our commitment to the professional and personal development of our people.”.
On behalf of PUCMM, Reverend Father Secilio Espinal, Rector of PUCMM, highlighted that “this agreement is an innovative precedent that strengthens the relationship between both institutions, allowing them to develop joint programs and offer answers to specific needs of the financial sector.”.
