The designated commercial director of the South American country, Karolina Ochoa, took advantage of the stage to share the trilogy of her success.
SANTO DOMINGO – Noval Properties announced yesterday its expansion into international markets. Bogotá, Colombia, one of the destinations that has experienced the greatest growth in tourist arrivals to the Dominican Republic in recent times, is the new target for the developer, which is celebrating two decades of operations in the Dominican market this year.
Lorena Sevilla and Iris Espinal, directors in Punta Cana and the Northern Zone, respectively, announced the new development during the training day “Real Estate Digital Marketing Skills”, held with the participation of 700 real estate agents, at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, in the Dominican capital.
“Today is an exciting day in our company’s history, as we are here to officially announce our expansion into a new market,” Espinal said, taking the opportunity to thank the real estate agents for their support over the 20 years that “we have built together the development of the real estate and tourism sector in the Dominican Republic.”.

Espinal explained that over the years Noval Properties has established offices in Punta Cana, Cap Cana, Santo Domingo, Las Terrenas and Santiago, and that the opening of the Colombia office adds to the company's expansion, to continue contributing to the country's real estate development.
“The opening of our first office in Bogotá is a significant milestone for Noval Properties. We are excited about the opportunity to establish a presence in this dynamic market and are confident that this expansion will provide us with numerous opportunities for growth and success,” he stated.
She said that the company she represents is committed to providing Colombian customers with the same level of excellence and professionalism that has characterized the brand for 20 years.
Lawyer and businesswoman
Karolina Ochoa, a veteran real estate agent with 12 years in the South American nation's real estate market, was introduced as the designated commercial director who will represent the brand in Colombia.
Taking the floor, she expressed that she is honored to be part of Noval Properties, after defining herself as a businesswoman and entrepreneur who has traversed thorny paths to reach the success she enjoys today.
He explained that the opening of the office in his country opens a world of opportunities for Dominican real estate agents and that the goal is to integrate the Dominican Republic's offices with those in Colombia and provide mutual support.
“In fact, Colombia is currently experiencing a lot of political uncertainty, which in some ways benefits us in terms of offering investment opportunities, even while we are here, because more than competition, what we want is to be that support so that we can close deals,” Ochoa explained.
He added that he understands the Colombian language and what people in his country need to hear to make a smart investment.
The key to success
After discussing the challenges she faced during her rise in the real estate business, the lawyer also recommended three guidelines that, in her opinion, represent the key to success in the real estate business:
–The right mindset. It advises starting to change the way you see things, identifying the good, giving a different meaning to everything that happens to you, seeing opportunities where others see difficulties. “No one else is responsible for your destiny, for the life you have today. From the moment you take responsibility, you will also have the opportunity to take control and change the results.”
–The right knowledge. Knowledge is power, says the Noval executive, and it can't be the best-kept secret. “Let's start sharing it with others. It's not just about telling people what project you have; that's fine, but we also need to offer them investment solutions, explain how to achieve profitability, and understand the criteria for making a good investment decision. When you start delivering valuable content and training, when you take advantage of those opportunities, that's where you start to grow, and your business will only grow when you grow.”
He opined that the right knowledge will lead real estate agents to understand that there are new ways of doing things, allowing them to reach many more people, position their brand, and deliver valuable information. "Although people like to buy, they don't like being sold to, so you have to start dedicating yourself to educating clients.".
-The right vehicle. Ochoa said she has come a long way in 12 years, consulting internationally in more than 18 countries helping brokers improve their strategies and that she had not come across any platform like Noval Properties.
“It’s a platform that allows them to be whatever they want, with over 20 years of experience, wonderful projects, and amazing commissions. They have incentives, a solid company that provides guarantees, and a fantastic training program. The question is, what are they doing with this vehicle? Are they taking advantage of it? Are they putting all of this into practice?” concluded the new commercial director of Noval Colombia.
