SANTO DOMINGO.- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) reported that, following the recent seismic activity in Venezuela, five Dominican citizens were reportedly affected by the situation.
According to the official statement on their X account, of those five cases, three Dominicans have managed to establish communication and are alive, while the authorities continue to follow up on the other reported citizens who have not yet been located.
Consular monitoring and coordination
The Foreign Ministry explained that it maintains constant communication with Venezuelan authorities and relevant bodies, with the aim of continuously monitoring the situation of Dominicans in that country.
He also indicated that the necessary steps are being taken to locate citizens who have not yet been contacted, as well as to provide assistance and support to their families.
