SANTO DOMINGO.- The Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) presented the Qualitur Tourism Quality Distinction plaque to the Sheraton Santo Domingo hotel, demonstrating its commitment to quality tourism in the Dominican Republic.
At the award ceremony, which took place at the Sheraton Santo Domingo hotel, the Vice Minister of Quality of Tourism Services, Roberto Henríquez, stated that the company that chooses this distinction conveys to the customer confidence, security and satisfaction in the service they receive.
“With the awarding of this quality distinction, everyone wins: the companies, which guarantee the quality of their services, the consumer, who receives the best service, and us, as the authority, who must guarantee the best,” said Henríquez, according to a press release from MITUR.
He emphasized that Qualitur guarantees better quality through excellence in the tourism industry and satisfaction for the traveler, guest, client or user of any service in the area.
Henríquez urged the executives present to maintain the established standards in order to continue guaranteeing quality services that are competitive.
For his part, the general manager of the Sheraton hotel, Cesar Oliva, expressed how important it is for his brand to have the certification and pledged to continue working on its management and maintenance.
Jaime Montilla, director of quality of tourism services, was present at the handover ceremony, along with other officials from MITUR and businesspeople from the sector.
