SANTO DOMINGO.- The Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED) has granted an extension until Wednesday, April 19th of this year, to applicants for the first call for Private Technical Supervisors in the country, so that they can correct errors or omissions in the documents submitted on March 30th to that state agency.
Circular #3, dated yesterday, April 17, is titled “Clarification on correctable errors or omissions in the procedure, presentation of credentials for the first call for the qualification, accreditation and registration of Private Technical Supervisors in the Dominican Republic,” posted on the MIVHED portal.
For professionals who failed to submit their postgraduate degree duly legalized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT), the MIVHED determined that both applicants from legal entities and individuals who only presented a basic degree in civil engineering or architecture, must deposit evidence of their experience in supervision or inspection.
“They must submit Form FORM-STP-1-04, regarding the participant/applicant's experience with demonstrable evidence of having experience in supervision and/or inspection of at least ten building projects with a floor area greater than 150.00 m² and with more than four levels in height; attaching the references and available certificates issued by the corresponding contracting bodies,” the statement says.
For those who hold a postgraduate degree that is not legalized by the MESCyT, the Ministry of Housing resolved that they may deposit proof of having requested legalization before the competent body.
Regarding the written evaluation and the interview of the pre-qualified candidates, the new date will be Wednesday, May 3rd of this year at 9:30 a.m., in the auditorium, located on the third level of Building 1, of MIVHED, located on Moisés García Street corner of Dr. Báez Street, Gazcue, National District.
“Having established the above, we grant an extension for delivery and invite the participants/applicants who submitted their credentials on March 30, 2023, to deposit, in person, the corrected documentation, no later than next Wednesday, April 19, 2023,” says the circular signed by architect Iliana Gallardo, Director of Standards and Regulations of the Vice Ministry of Standards, Regulations and Procedures.
He adds that the hours for depositing the documents will be from eight in the morning to four in the afternoon, at the Directorate of Standards and Regulations, on the second level of Building 2B, of the Ministry of Housing, on Eduardo Jenner Street #16, La Esperilla, National District.
