JetBlue does not guarantee customers an immediate delay-free trip

The airline said in a statement that bad weather conditions combined with staff shortages were the cause of the flight delays last weekend

SANTO DOMINGO.– JetBlue, the New York-based airline that consistently generates complaints from dissatisfied users of its air services, does not guarantee its customers a delay-free trip in the immediate future, although it promised that the company will address the problems experienced in order to offer better service.

The airline stated in a press release that bad weather conditions combined with staff shortages were the cause of the flight delays last weekend, which caused disruptions for hundreds of Dominican passengers.

He said it needs a few days to move the crew and aircraft back to their positions due to the scale of the disruption and that they are working on adding more flights to help affected passengers continue their journeys.

«The severe weather this weekend caused multiple Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-imposed air traffic control tower delays, ground stops, and route closures, including in our focus cities of New York, Boston, and Fort Lauderdale,” the statement explains.

He adds that the staffing restrictions publicly announced by the FAA, especially in the New York area, also impacted operations.

This situation made passengers uncomfortable and led them to denounce the ordeal they were subjected to through social media.
