SANTO DOMINGO.– Ingrid Fernández, who died along with the CEO and founder of La Comarca Real Estate, José Ramón Hernández, last Saturday in a traffic accident on the Coral Highway, while returning to Santiago de los Caballeros, began working at the company in September of this year.
The employee took over as Business Manager at the firm just over a month ago. She was an Industrial Psychologist, a graduate of the Technological University of Santiago (UTESA), and had a solid track record of more than 20 years in banking, holding the positions of Business Manager and Deputy Business Manager at Banco Caribe.
Those who knew her describe her as an upright, empathetic, and professional woman, with an energy that inspired trust and respect. Her sister, Yanet Fernández, expressed her grief on social media, sharing heartfelt messages and cherished memories.
In her Instagram profile, Ingrid states that she had more than 20 years of experience in banking, and in her last video, she appears promoting the open house where she was participating last Saturday.
This Monday, the real estate company La Comarca reported that the remains of Ingrid Fernández will be laid to rest at the INAVI funeral home, located in the Pekín sector, in Santiago de los Caballeros, while those of José will be laid to rest at the Sánchez funeral home, located in San José de Ocoa, according to a statement from the company.
The report indicates that the bodies have not yet been released to their families and that the date and time of the wake will be announced in due course.
“Due to reasons related to the death process, the bodies have not yet been released to the families. The date and time of the wake will be announced as soon as authorization is received,” the notice states.
