The airline Iberojet, owned by Ávoris Corporación, launched its new weekly direct route on Sundays connecting La Romana with Madrid on June 22nd and will continue until September 7th, 2025.
The new air route departs from Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport to the Dominican Republic's La Romana International Airport.
The scheduled flight is operated with an Airbus A330-300 configured for 388 seats. The service is marketed through Travelplan, which combines flight options with customizable vacation packages.
“The arrival of Iberojet from Madrid reinforces the growing confidence that major tour operators place in La Romana as a comprehensive destination. This new route opens up new opportunities to attract more Spanish visitors, diversifying our tourist arrivals and adding value to the local tourism sector,” stated the airport administration, which belongs to the Central Romana group of companies.
Gustavo Serrano, commercial director of tour operation at Ávoris, stated that the new route “consolidates the relationship of trust and collaboration between Ávoris and the Dominican Republic, a country we have been investing in for decades and where we continue to develop operations that contribute to mutual growth.”.
