SANTO DOMINGO- The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM) ordered an increase in the price of all fuels for the week of March 5-11, leaving the cost of liquefied petroleum gas and natural gas frozen.
With the new resolution from the MICM, the price of a gallon of premium gasoline will be RD$293.70, an increase of RD$6, and that of regular gasoline will be RD$274.50, rising RD$4.
Likewise, the price of premium diesel will be RD$241.10 per gallon, an increase of RD$5, and regular diesel will be RD$221.60 per gallon, an increase of RD$4.
The price of a gallon of liquefied petroleum gas remained unchanged, so it will be sold to the public at RD$147.60 and natural gas will be offered at RD$28.97 per cubic meter.
The MICM reported that to avoid further increases in the price of hydrocarbons, the government had to allocate more than RD$615 million.
