SANTO DOMINGO.-At the request of Mayor Carolina Mejía, the City Council of the National District approved yesterday, Thursday, the appointment of businessman Frank Rainieri as tourism mentor for the city of Santo Domingo.
At a ceremony held at the City Hall, the prominent businessman was presented with a scroll, as well as a gift and a vest bearing his name, which identifies his connection with the Mayor's Office of the National District.
Rainieri, founder of the Puntacana Group, thanked them for the recognition and pledged to contribute his knowledge to increase the number of visitors to the city of Santo Domingo.
In addition, Rainieri and Mayor Mejía had a relaxed conversation about various aspects of the city, including its potential and tourist visits.
This is an honorary support on issues related to the tourism sector that the businessman will offer to the city.
His wife, Haydée Kuret, and his son, Frank Elías Rainieri, were present at the event. Also in attendance was José Ignacio Paliza, Minister of the Presidency.
Also in attendance were Yovany Moya, president of the Council of Aldermen; Sina del Rosario, technical secretary of the Mayor's Office of the DN; Víctor González, Beatriz González, Ana González and Alicia Torres.
