As part of the strategy to promote the province of Samaná in Spain, the first flight of the summer season was inaugurated, departing from Madrid directly to the province, formally beginning the holidays of Europeans in this region of the Caribbean.
These flights, unique with these characteristics, are part of the collaboration between Soltour, a tour operator of the Piñero Group, and the Dominican government with the aim of promoting Samaná in Spain.
This flight, like all the others that will now land in Samaná, was carried out in a comfortable and spacious Airbus 330 aircraft, in which all 388 seats were occupied.
The arrival of this flight in Samaná was celebrated with a performance by the Folkloric Ballet of the Dominican Republic's Ministry of Tourism. A cake decorated with the flags of both countries was also distributed among the first visitors arriving on this inaugural flight.
“Our operations to Samaná, and the year-on-year strengthening of our relationship with the Dominican government, reaffirms our commitment to this paradisiacal Caribbean destination. We are convinced that our service is unique and we offer travel agencies the best options so that travelers can discover an exclusive destination and a different side of the Caribbean in Samaná,” commented Juan Llaneras, technical director of Soltour
Direct flights to Samaná will operate every Thursday until September 14th of this year. The flights will depart from Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport and arrive at El Catey International Airport – Presidente Juan Bosch.
In this destination, visitors can enjoy various activities such as admiring the impressive Los Haitises National Park and its caves, where the Taíno people lived, or enjoying exotic and attractive beaches such as El Rincón, Las Terrenas, or Las Galeras.
Also noteworthy are the spectacular Salto del Limón, a waterfall of wild beauty that will delight those who visit it, as well as the city's culture and the irresistible charm of the islet of Cayo Levantado.
