SANTO DOMINGO - The Expo Ferretera Dominicana trade fair, 2025 edition, will bring together around60 local and international companies, consolidating itself as one of the most important platforms of the hardware and construction sector in the region.
The business meeting aims to present the Dominican market with the latest technology, tools, materials and equipment, as well as offer training in everything related to this booming sector.
The event, which will take place on June 13, 14 and 15, will feature the participation of companies from the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Mexico, India, Panama, the United States, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Honduras and Sweden.
Ana Ventura, general manager, highlighted that for the first time there will be an exclusive pavilion for companies from India, in addition to an unprecedented diversity of participating countries. “The exhibitors include manufacturers, wholesale distributors, ceramic manufacturers, power and hand tools, as well as companies specializing in paints, coatings, waterproofing, water tanks, plastic products, PVC pipes, and rebar,” she stated.
Ventura explained to El Inmobiliario that the EFD (Expo Ferretera) offers opportunities for business, partnerships, and professional development. “This edition of Expo Ferretera brings with it great business opportunities, professional development, and expanded partnerships among key players in the sector. We are excited to see how the Dominican Republic continues to position itself as a strategic meeting point for the hardware industry in Latin America and beyond,” Ventura expressed.
The executive reported that, as every year, the meeting will include talks, seminars and training workshops, such as the international panel "Asia, LATAM, USA: Challenges and opportunities for the hardware and construction sector," aimed at all hardware store owners attending the exhibition.
According to Ventura, the 2025 edition will feature the participation of renowned figures in the sector, including Gerardo Tajonar, president of the National Association of Importers and Exporters of the Republic of Mexico (ANIERM); Santiago de los Ríos Cardona, representative of ProColombia in the Dominican Republic; Emilio Hungría, economic consultant for APRICUS; and Jennifer Troncoso, executive director of the National Organization of Commercial Enterprises (ONEC).
Likewise, the EFD manager confirmed the presence of the director of Expo Ferretera México, one of the most important fairs held annually in the city of Guadalajara, which reinforces the international focus of this edition.
Ventura stated that more details about the activities, panels, and international delegations that will be part of the trade show will be announced in the coming days.
