SANTO DOMINGO– Edesur Dominicana signed an agreement with the Dominican Association of Housing Developers and Builders (ACOPROVI) to support this important sector through actions that break down bureaucracy and expedite interconnection processes in buildings within its concession area.
The agreement signed by EDESUR's CEO, Milton Morrison, and Jorge Luis Montalvo Iglesias, president of ACOPROVI, also includes the implementation of a digital platform that aims to streamline the planning process, reduce the amount of paperwork, and provide prompt access to information on project status.
"Edesur is not here to make things difficult for the construction sector; on the contrary, our role is to serve. ACOPROVI can count on our support, especially those in our concession area, to resolve all the interconnection issues, so that you, the builders, can deliver your units on time," said Milton Morrison.
For his part, Jorge Luis Montalvo said that at ACOPROVI, "we are very pleased with this agreement with EDESUR, which adds what was missing: the political will to support the construction sector. Edesur has an administration that is very clear about its role, which is to provide service.".
He said the agreement will also have a financial impact, since everything related to interconnection marks the end of the projects, and that involves many financial commitments, so streamlining those procedures will benefit the entire sector.
Regarding the agreement
Edesur also committed to studying and evaluating different proposals for the design and construction of electrical networks to ensure that they safeguard the aesthetic appeal of the facades of the projects.
