SANTO DOMINGO.- The National District, El Seibo, La Altagracia, San Pedro de Macorís, Santiago, Mao, Valverde; Espaillat, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Sánchez Ramírez, San Francisco de Macorís, Hermanas Mirabal, Samaná, Puerto Plata, Azua, San Cristóbal, Peravia, San Juan de la Maguana, Monte Cristi, Santiago Rodríguez, Barahona, are part of the provinces where the Judicial Branch enabled 46 rooms to receive procedures through the digital platform.
The measure, implemented since July 31 in all land courts nationwide, seeks to boost citizens' access to various legal procedures.
"This effort responds to the decision of the Plenary of the Supreme Court of Justice, adopted in its session no. 17/2025, in which the expansion of digital access and virtual hearings in Real Estate, Children and Adolescents matters, as well as in the Justice of the Peace Courts, was authorized progressively," the Judiciary said in a statement.
It highlights that these chambers are in addition to the 76 already integrated in labor matters, the 110 in Civil, the six chambers of the Superior Administrative Court, as well as the First and Third Chambers of the Supreme Court of Justice.
The digital access platform is a service designed to allow users to carry out procedures, requests, deposits, consultations and other functionalities that the legal system allows using technology, inaccordance with Law 339-22.
The Judiciary added that it provides the benefits of fast access, security, and transparency in the processes.
It maintains that its expansion responds to the strategic axis "100% Access" and represents an advantage for users of the judicial system, since it makes available more courts capable of receiving procedures and requests digitally, eliminating the need for travel and facilitating access to justice.
