Tourism Minister David Collado yesterday broke ground on the construction of the access road and parking lot at Macao beach, which will have an investment of more than RD$53 million.
The project, which is part of the comprehensive reorganization of Playa Macao, will include the construction of 104 vehicle parking spaces as well as an area for motorcycles and buses.
The event was attended by the main provincial authorities and representatives of the sector, headed by Rafael Blanco and Paola Rainieri, president and former president of the National Association of Hotels and Tourism (Asonahores).
“Today I am here breaking ground for the reconstruction of the access road and parking lot at Macao beach, firstly addressing a long-standing demand from this province and secondly fulfilling the promise I made to them months ago,” said Minister Collado.
