SANTO DOMINGO.– Banco BHD's financial education program was recognized with an award in the sustainability category during the Financial Innovators in the Americas Awards, according to information provided by the entity.
Recognition for focus on financial education
According to reports, the Responsible Finance BHD obtained the platinum level in the Sustainability and Social Responsibility category, at an event organized by Fintech Americas in the city of Miami.
The award was received by Josefina Navarro, senior vice president of Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility of the entity, who noted that the program is part of the institutional strategy aimed at promoting financial education and inclusion.
The organization stated that this initiative aims to promote access to tools that enable better economic decision-making, as well as to foster a balance between financial well-being and personal development.
Program Scope
According to the data shared, the program has developed more than a thousand workshops and mentoring sessions in recent years, in addition to registering around 900,000 interactions through its digital platforms.
These actions have directly impacted more than 500,000 people, while the indirect reach exceeds one million beneficiaries, according to figures provided by the institution.
The bank also highlighted the participation of employees in the execution of the program, as part of its corporate volunteering initiatives.
