Savings members and clients of the financial institution will be able to choose diplomas from the country's leading universities.
SANTO DOMINGO.-The Popular Association of Savings and Loans (APAP) has opened applications at the country's main universities for the diploma programs of its social investment initiative, Somos Formación Continua (We Are Continuing Education).
The financial institution will enable 400 slots for members and clients at levels 3, 4 and 5 of the Somos program, of which 100 spaces will be opened every Monday and will be filled in order of application or until stock runs out through Móvil APAP, during the period between July 28 and August 18.
The initiative includes 100% coverage of the tuition fees for diplomas and specialization courses at INTEC, PUCMM-TEP, UNIBE, APEC and ITLA, with the aim of raising the professional profile of the financial institution's clients.
Somos Formación Continua's educational offering includes diplomas and specialized courses in cybersecurity, data analysis, business intelligence, process robotics, business management, among others, in virtual, hybrid or face-to-face modalities.
Somos Formación Continua is the first initiative of its kind, setting a benchmark for the contributions a financial institution can make to its members, savers, and clients. This second cohort adds to the 400 graduates since its launch in 2024.
"With this initiative, APAP reinforces its social investment strategy by strengthening professional skills through educational programs that respond to the needs of the current labor market," said Mildred Minaya, Vice President of Communication, Sustainability and Corporate Reputation at APAP.
"Continuing Education is part of the Somos APAP program, a compensation model of the financial institution for its savings partners and clients, considering the business relationship," the APAP executive emphasized.
