An award committed to fighting the housing deficit for Dominican families

“This recognition represents a commitment not only to those who awarded it to us but also to the community at large, the country, and we could even say internationally, because we have clients all over the world. It obliges us to maintain the quality of our product and continue contributing to sustainable development.”.

SANTO DOMINGO.- Fermín Acosta received the highest distinction awarded by Plusval Dominicana in its first edition of “Tribute”, an award recently launched to recognize the country's construction sector.

“Developer of the Year” was an award recognizing Crisfer's nearly 20-year track record in the Dominican market. The construction company is a pioneer in the use of solar energy in residential projects, a model that represents a significant reduction in maintenance costs for homeowners.

“This recognition represents a commitment not only to those who awarded it to us but also to the community in general, the country, and we could even say internationally because we have clients all over the world. It obliges us to maintain the quality of our product and continue contributing to sustainable development,” says Acosta.

He also reaffirms his commitment to continue helping more families acquire more affordable housing because this reduces the housing deficit, which, he says, is around 10% on average in the country, and could double in the case of the most vulnerable.

“We were the first company to do trust projects, the first families to benefit from the Mortgage Market Development Law and the Trust were our clients, and we have decided that all of our projects will be through trusts.”.

Sustainable development is a global necessity. Aware of this, Crisfer's CEO is incorporating renewable energy, especially solar power, into his projects. Figures indicate that the use of sustainable building materials could reduce urban pollution by 50%, while international organizations are increasingly advocating for a reduction in the emission of pollutants into the environment.

Acosta is clear about the responsibility his sector has on this issue and therefore, to the extent possible, he uses recycled materials and advocates for a review of the current legislation that limits the interconnection of commercial and residential projects to the electrical distribution networks.

“It’s a crime that we’re not allowed to participate in all projects, when this country has enough renewable energy, especially solar.” He’s referring to the distribution companies that manage this interconnection, whose flexibility, he asserts, would consequently increase family incomes.

Projects under construction

Currently, the construction firm is developing these projects:

Crisfer Independencia consists of five towers ranging from 6 to 8 stories; located on Calle El Diamante, in the El Pedregal sector, near Avenida Independencia and Mirador Sur Park. "A family-friendly environment combined with security, comfort, and convenience, thanks to its proximity to major avenues," explains the official website.

Residences features 10 levels, functional units designed for modern communities with private and informal relaxation areas and multiple social spaces for gathering. “Ideal for living or investing, with spectacular views. Located in an area of exciting development and attractive for both professional and tourist use. Environments conceived with today's families in mind: modern, based on their needs and lifestyle.”.

In Bella Vista, a tower rises with functional designs and modern aesthetics in a rapidly evolving area. Created to maximize the surrounding environment, it offers high-quality spaces that promote user comfort. Social areas are designed to meet the current needs of modern families for integration and recreation.

The Punta Cana project is defined as a friendly design project, whose main attraction is its own urban complex, which has collective green spaces, quality infrastructure, diverse housing typologies and urban-scale design.

Achieving well-being and satisfaction in the real estate market in an efficient and sustainable manner is the company's vision.
