American Airlines is making a series of changes to its network and this time it eliminated three routes from the United States, whose destinations were the Dominican Republic.
American, which is increasing its air traffic in the Dallas, Texas area, has made renovations that will affect its service in the Caribbean, but will increase its presence in other destinations.
The routes eliminated are those from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Las Américas International Airport (AILA).
The route that departed from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to AILA, and from Philadelphia Airport to Cibao International Airport (STI), will also be affected.
The airline justifies the cancellation of the routes due to reduced demand for flights to these locations.
According to The Points Guy, in place of these routes, American Airlines will add new routes to Mexico and connect Phoenix, Arizona with a new 888-mile nonstop flight to Monterrey, Mexico, launching on January 10.
