SANTO DOMINGO.– Last Tuesday, December 2nd, the La Altagracia Tourism Business Alliance (ALETA) met with the Minister of Finance and Economy, Magín Díaz, to present various points of view on the sector in that region of the country and to request the streamlining of procedures that correspond to that department.
According to a press release, at the meeting with the official, the business leaders requested streamlining and simplifying the processes for tax exemptions on investments, as well as reducing processing times with the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII). The report also indicates that the purpose of these measures is to further boost the country's economy.
The association also presented the figures it handles as a mobilizer and catalyst of
foreign investment, the press release details.
He notes that the meeting is part of the efforts he is making with different members of the Government to discuss specific points with each ministry.
"ALETA thanks Minister Magín Díaz for his willingness and cordiality in coordinating
the best solutions and uniting us in the same objectives for the benefit of
La Altagracia province and the Dominican Republic," it highlights.
The ALETA commission was headed by its president José Sánchez,
in addition to several members of the board of directors, including Fabio La Rosa, Raffaella Delfino,
Fermín Acosta, Javier Donoso, Luis Carlos Serra, Daniel Sánchez and Mariano
Briceño; also the executive director, Alberto Gaforio.
