SANTIAGO.- Characterized by a musical atmosphere, with the typical rhythm of the Cibao region, the perico ripiao, the Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies (AEI), brought together this weekend a large group of representatives of its national membership, to celebrate the significant growth that the guild has had in recent times and toast to its achievements.
The Magna Uno hall of the UTESA Convention Center was dressed up for Christmas on Friday afternoon and while the blessed rain clouded the skies of the Heart City, the sound of the typical band Kerubanda, warmed up the dance floor, getting the real estate agents, dressed in white, who came to the meeting, up out of their seats.
"We want to thank everyone for coming on this rainy day, even with the change of venue, and the truth is that there are very few empty chairs, this has been a success, let's give a round of applause to those responsible for the organization of this event which is for all of us real estate agents," commented Alberto Bogaert, president of the AEI, when he took the floor at the event.
He added that the meeting was motivated by a desire to thank real estate agents for their hard work and massive support at events organized by the AEI, highlighting in 2023 the significant presence of real estate brokers at the Gran Salón Inmobiliario de Colombia, where the entity managed the representation of the Dominican Republic as the guest country, and which was attended by 42 companies with a representation of 400 real estate agents.
To that boost, he added the massive attendance at the association's international congress with the presence of more than 700 attendees, both activities held in August 2023.
Bogaert highlighted that for the first time at an event, the AEI presented a live orchestra and gave away raffles worth more than 600,000 pesos, donated by a group of sponsoring companies, which allowed most of those present to receive gifts.
Isely Almánzar, director of the AEI North Zone, in her role as host, welcomed the meeting, along with José Alberto Espinal, from Plusval Dominicana, highlighting the spirit of Christmas and brotherhood by bringing together agents from the various districts.
From a trip to Cuba, televisions, iPads, household appliances in general and promotional items, were part of the attractions of the Christmas party, which began in the early afternoon and lasted until 11 at night.
Víctor Arrechedera was in charge of the event's setup, with exquisite decorations and impeccable organization, combining the brand's corporate colors with traditional Christmas colors. A coconut adorned with the AEI logo served as a welcome drink to guests at the gathering, which was originally scheduled to take place in one of Santiago's famous gardens but had to be moved due to incessant rain. The menu featured typical dishes from the Cibao region.
