SANTO DOMINGO – The Dominican Association of Housing Builders and Developers (Acoprovi) announced that it will hold a business meeting this June to share its vision and opportunities for the sector, in light of the debated issue of the Tax Reform that the Dominican government proposes to implement.
"Tax Reform and the Construction Sector" will feature prominent speakers Magín Díaz and Miguel Acevedo, as highlighted by the association on its Instagram account.
The information highlights that the activity aims to present the opportunities, challenges, and strategic vision for the sector.
The luncheon, aimed at business owners and members of Acoprovi, will take place on Tuesday, June 25, at 12:30 noon, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Santo Domingo (Silver Sun, Av. Tiradentes 32), and will have a limited number of places available.
Magín Díaz
He is a distinguished industrial engineer and economist specializing in Public Finance and Macroeconomics, a graduate of the University of Chicago and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
At the local level he has been Director General of Internal Revenue, Deputy Minister of Finance and advisor to various state institutions such as the Ministry of Economy, the Customs Directorate, the Superintendency of Banks, among others.
At the international level he has been a consultant to the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank; and has worked for the Governments of El Salvador, Honduras, Belize and Uruguay on tax, fiscal and macroeconomic policy.
In the academic field he has been a university professor and director of the Department of Economics at the Catholic University Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).
Miguel Acevedo
He is a tax advisor in the construction sector, a professional with more than 25 years of experience in the administrative, financial and tax areas, dedicated to the implementation of the best financial, accounting, tax and administrative practices for companies.
Their job is to transform entities so that they can efficiently manage their human and financial resources, always adhering to the international standards applied in each business operation.
His greatest expertise lies in the implementation and control of all financial, accounting, and tax processes for companies, especially in the construction, technology services, and industrial sectors.
