SANTO DOMINGO.-The XII International Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism of the Dominican Republic (BIAURD 2024) will take place on November 5, 2024, bringing together prominent architects and urban planners from the Dominican Republic and Italy, the latter serving as the guest country.
Under the motto "EUTOPIAS: Building Ideas for the Future", the event aims to explore and redefine ideal spaces where architecture and urban planning intertwine to contribute to a more sustainable and habitable world, according to a press release.
The document explains that BIAURD 2024 will offer participants a platform to learn about the most innovative proposals in the sector, as well as the opportunity to establish valuable connections with professionals, theorists and designers.

"Networking will be encouraged, allowing the exchange of experiences and potential collaborations that can boost careers in the field of design," he explains.
He adds that the event will also focus on celebrating architectural excellence, awarding the best projects in an environment that promotes creativity and innovation.
Attendees will have the opportunity to witness lectures given by experts in the field and practical workshops that will provide tools applicable to their own projects.

The Biennial is part of the Latin American Architecture Biennial Network (REDBAAL), under the concept of "Eutopias", which guides BIAURD 2024, and seeks to inspire the creation of ideal spaces where architecture and urbanism are unified to build a better future.

Participants are invited to imagine, design, and create places that meet the current needs of society, promoting environmental preservation, the adoption of new technologies, and respect for the cultural identity of each region.
BIAURD 2024 promises to be an inspiring journey through the most relevant works of architecture and urbanism, both in the Dominican Republic and in the rest of the world.
Registration for the activity will be available until September 23, 2024. The participation fee is 12,000 Dominican pesos for national architects and 20,900 Dominican pesos for international architects .
