With the presence of President Luis Abinader and the main businessmen of Santiago, the Popular Association of Savings and Loans (APAP), inaugurated its business building in this city, with an investment of 758 million pesos.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of APAP, Lawrence Hazoury Toca, highlighted the role of savings and loan associations in promoting business leadership "that has made financial inclusion and access to credit possible in Santiago and the entire northern region.".
“We were pioneers in the mutualist system and we continue to be so today, as an innovative, disruptive and constantly transforming entity, which from its beginnings has been aware of the impact it would have on the economy of the northern region and the entire country,” Hazoury said.

President Abinader toured APAP's new business building, which includes energy-efficient features, a fast-charging station for electric vehicles, solar panels, and bicycle parking.
It also features accessibility facilities, including tactile paving, a Braille system; strobe lights to alert people with hearing disabilities in emergencies; adapted customer service channels, ATMs with audio guidance for people with visual disabilities, ramps and parking.
