The initiative will take place from August 27 to 30 and seeks to connect businesses, entrepreneurs, academia and institutions to boost the economic development of the municipality
SANTO DOMINGO.– With the aim of strengthening the position of Santo Domingo Oeste as one of the main industrial and business centers of the country, Expo Feria Destino Oeste was presented, a platform designed to boost investment opportunities, promote new businesses and strengthen the connection between the different economic actors of the municipality.
The presentation took place at the new headquarters of Barna Management School, during the conference "Economic Development and Territorial Articulation", which brought together representatives of the business sector, authorities and institutional leaders linked to the productive development of the Santo Domingo province.
During the event, the organizers highlighted that Santo Domingo Oeste concentrates important industrial, commercial and logistical assets, in addition to a strategic location that has allowed it to play a key role in the national economy.
In that context, the spokesperson for the initiative, Leandro Mieses, pointed out that one of the main challenges is to strengthen coordination between the different sectors in order to convert the municipality's economic potential into greater growth opportunities.
"The most successful territories are those that manage to connect their capabilities and coordinate efforts around a shared vision. The potential of Santo Domingo Oeste already exists; what is needed now is to articulate it and turn it into opportunities for its people," he said.
A municipality with potential for continued growth
The organizers highlighted that the presence of the Herrera Industrial Zone, its proximity to important logistics corridors, and its connection to key infrastructure for trade and industry make Santo Domingo Oeste a territory with favorable conditions for attracting investment and expanding its economic activity.
Speaking at the meeting, the president of the National Association of Companies and Industries of Herrera (ANEIH), Ángelo Viro, considered that the municipality should project itself beyond its industrial tradition and consolidate itself as a comprehensive destination for business, entrepreneurship and investment.
"This initiative represents an opportunity to showcase the potential of Santo Domingo Oeste and continue strengthening its competitiveness," he stated.
Participants agreed that greater integration between businesses, universities, public institutions and entrepreneurs would allow for a more effective use of the territory's productive capacities and generate new development opportunities.
The fair will take place in August
The first edition of Expo Feria Destino Oeste will take place from August 27 to 30 at the Julio Sauri Club, located on Luperón Avenue, under the slogan "Connecting industry, companies and opportunities".
