SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican Republic will host a wide-ranging schedule of golf tournaments during May, with competitions distributed across different courses in the country and formats that include everything from competitive events to charitable initiatives, according to the Golf Dominicano website.
According to the publication, the program begins on May 3rd with the 7th TEAM Golf Cup at La Romana Country Club, a scramble format for pairs. The day includes breakfast, practice, an opening ceremony, a shotgun start, and the awards ceremony.
May 9th features several competitions. That day will see the CADOMEX Cup at La Cana Golf Club, as well as the 1st Charity Golf Classic ATLEDOM at Punta Blanca Golf Club, a charity scramble tournament for pairs, aimed at supporting the development of Dominican athletes.
The 12th AHSD Golf Tournament is also scheduled for the same date at Vistas Golf & Country Club.
Promoting female participation
The activities continue on May 10 with the Pink Golf Tour Regionales – Santo Domingo, at Vistas Golf & Country Club, an initiative focused on promoting female participation in this discipline.
The Ambassador's Cup is scheduled for May 16th at La Romana Country Club and the PoetaCup at Guavaberry Golf Club, the latter with categories A, B, C and mixed.
The calendar culminates on May 23 with the Pink Golf Tour Regionales Jarabacoa at Jarabacoa Golf Club, along with a new round of the Charity Golf Classic ATLEDOM at Punta Blanca Golf & Beach Club.
