SANTO DOMINGO.– Jorge Montalvo, president of the Dominican Association of Housing Builders and Developers (ACOPROVI), believes that the Dominican construction sector currently faces significant challenges at both the state and private sector levels, but also exhibits notable progress such as the development of projects designed in accordance with market needs.
Added value to these projects includes appropriate price ranges with quality and safety, built with best practices and in time to sustain demand, as well as strengthening their structures and standards in processes, to offer an agile and efficient service oriented to satisfy the needs and demands of the sector.
“From the State, the design of public policies on housing aimed at reducing the housing deficit in the country, as well as the promotion and guidelines of zero bureaucracy promoted by the current authorities with agile and rapid processes in permitting, construction and titling that promote investment in housing projects, this includes the processes of issuing all the documentation related to the real estate market, among other challenges,” explained architect Montalvo during a discussion held by Seguros Sura, in which he participated as one of the speakers.
