SANTO DOMINGO. – In an international environment marked by financial volatility and adjustments in global monetary policy, Inversiones Santa Cruz (ISC) held the Global and Regional Economic Perspectives meeting in Santo Domingo and Santiago, aimed at businesspeople and strategic clients with the objective of providing key inputs for decision-making in the lead-up to 2026.
The event featured the participation of specialists from Bank of America, who analyzed the global macroeconomic outlook, the performance of Latin America and the Caribbean, and the main areas of international uncertainty, including growth, inflation and the
geopolitical environment.
During the presentations, favorable projections for the Dominican economy in 2026 were presented, with estimated growth of around 4.0%, compared to the preliminary 2.1% for 2025. Regarding inflation, convergence toward the Central Bank's target range is expected, settling at around 4.2%. Likewise, the US economy is projected to grow by 2.8% in 2026, which would be favorable given the close economic ties between the two countries.
The meeting was led by Lexy Collado, CEO of ISC; Pedro Galán, executive vice president; and Eduardo Marrero, senior vice president of Corporate Banking at Banco Santa Cruz, along with a distinguished group of businesspeople, corporate leaders and representatives of the financial sector in both cities.
With initiatives like this, ISC reaffirms its commitment to its clients to provide expert analysis, strategic vision and spaces for dialogue that contribute to more informed and sustainable financial planning.
