SANTO DOMINGO.– The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported that the work on the expansion joints of the lanes in both directions of the Francisco del Rosario Sánchez bridge and the reinforcement of the roadway were completed at noon this Thursday.
In a press release, the agency explained that the work carried out on the road structure consisted of repairing several expansion joints and placing a steel plate to increase the road's resistance.
The work began Monday night in the east-west direction, requiring the closure of two lanes. It continued Wednesday night and was completed this afternoon, allowing traffic to resume in both directions.
The MOPC apologizes to citizens who travel along this road for the inconvenience caused.
