SANTO DOMINGO EAST. – The community event “Recycle and Learn with Paraíso del Este” was held this weekend with great enthusiasm, an initiative that united families in the area around environmental protection and support for education.
The activity, held in the Paraíso del Este real estate development area, allowed more than 100 children to receive backpacks and school supplies in exchange for recyclable plastic bottles. This initiative not only promoted sustainable habits in the community but also eased the financial burden on many families as they returned to school.
Engineer Julio Cabrera, president of Pragma Capital, the company developing the project, stated that this action is a demonstration of the social commitment they assume with each community where they have a presence.
“At Pragma, we believe that the future is built by recycling and learning. Today we are handing out backpacks, but above all, we are raising awareness about the importance of caring for our environment and supporting the education of our children, who are the foundation of a better tomorrow,” Cabrera emphasized.
The program was supported by the Aecogroup Environmental Foundation, responsible for the correct classification and handling of the collected plastics.

The activity included children's entertainment, music and refreshments, as well as a photo area with the motto "I recycle and learn", which brought a festive and family atmosphere to the day.
With actions like these, Paraíso del Este reaffirms its commitment to being a project that goes beyond real estate, strengthening ties with the community and promoting values of sustainability and social responsibility.
