Loans for tourism real estate development have grown 70% in La Altagracia province since 2020, says Samuel Pereyra

Given the growth experienced in the area, Banreservas opened two offices in San Pedro de Macorís and Bávaro.

SANTO DOMINGO.– The loan portfolio granted by Banreservas for the development of tourist infrastructure in the province of La Altagracia amounts to RD$30,837 million, representing a 70% growth since 2020, stated Samuel Pereyra, executive president of that financial institution.

The state bank inaugurated two commercial offices in two destinations in the eastern zone, with the aim of satisfying the banking service needs in San Pedro de Macorís and Bávaro, La Altagracia, two areas that are experiencing significant population growth and economic and commercial development.

The new establishments were designed for residents and communities near the municipality of Los Llanos, in San Pedro, and for residents and visitors of the tourist area of ​​Bávaro, in La Altagracia.

Upon formalizing the operations of the Plaza Paseo del Mar office in Bávaro, the CEO of the financial institution, Samuel Pereyra, said that this opening represents a lot, because it reveals the confidence and faith in work, development and progress.

In the case of the Plaza Paseo del Mar branch, Pereyra explained that it has a loan portfolio of RD$148 million and a deposit portfolio of RD$196 million. Its main clients include employees in the tourism sector, engineers, large retailers, and SMEs from the communities of Los Corales and El Cortecito.

“All members of the businesses in this plaza and the surrounding area: shops, small industries, supermarkets, grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies, entertainment centers, transportation, restaurants, among others, can count on an unconditional ally, Banco de Reservas, a faithful and loyal friend to all of you,” Pereyra assured.

Meanwhile, the Los Llanos office was inaugurated the same day by the senior executive vice president of Business, Ysidro García, who announced that this unit will provide services to important economic sectors such as agriculture, commerce, construction, industry and transportation, among others.
