LA VEGA. – President Luis Abinader arranged for the delivery of a new and fully furnished apartment to the sprinter from La Vega, Liranyi Alonso, in recognition of her outstanding participation in the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, where she won four gold medals.
The financial rewards are the result of the effort, dedication, perseverance and sacrifice of each of the athletes, highlighting Liranyi Alonso as the most awarded, after winning the four gold in the past JCC Santo Domingo 2026.

Incentives for athletes
The financial contributions given to the athletes were distributed as follows:
- Liranyi Alonso: RD$760,000
- Javier Núñez: RD$250,000
- Enmanuel Muñoz: RD$200,000
- Alondra Tapia: RD$200,000
- Nayelis Guzmán: RD$150,000
- Geraldo Díaz: RD$100,000

Rewarded trainers
Likewise, the coaches each received RD$50,000, while ALAVER gave each athlete a savings account with RD$10,000.
Given the excitement of Liranyi Alonso and her family upon receiving their new home, the Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, announced an additional contribution of RD$200,000, through Camú Gas, to help with moving expenses.
The day of recognition concluded with a massive parade through the main streets and neighborhoods of La Vega, where the medalists received the support and affection of their families, friends and the entire Vega community.
The tribute highlighted not only the athletes' sporting achievements, but also the support of institutions, authorities, and businesspeople from La Vega for those who represent the country on international stages.
