29,790 documents with digital signatures and 258,244 titles promote legal certainty

Progress on the Real Estate Registry was presented within the framework of the National Titling Plan.

SANTO DOMINGO. – The incorporation of qualified digital signatures with QR codes in documents of the registry system is part of the technological tools that are transforming the management of services related to real estate in the Dominican Republic.

According to information published on the website of the Judicial Branch of the Dominican Republic, the Real Estate Registry has integrated this technology into 29,790 registry products, allowing the authenticity of documents to be validated through electronic verification mechanisms.

The system makes it easier to confirm the origin and content of documents through QR codes, which strengthens the traceability of registration actions and reduces the risks of manipulation or falsification.

The technological platform is also complemented by other initiatives aimed at strengthening legal security, including the regularization of parcels, the development of a compendium of registration criteria and the updating of the cadastral parcel consultation.

In addition to these tools, there is the property registry alert service, designed to notify users about transactions related to their properties. Currently, 50,965 users are subscribed to this preventative monitoring system.

According to statements cited by the Dominican Republic's Judicial Branch website, these initiatives allow for anticipating risks, improving the traceability of operations, and offering citizens tools to protect their property rights.

National Graduation Plan

The Real Estate Registry also supports the National Titling Plan, an initiative aimed at strengthening the formalization of real estate ownership in the country.

In that context, and according to information released by the Dominican Republic's Judicial Branch website, 258,244 title certificates have been issued, benefiting thousands of families who now have legal documentation that supports the ownership of their homes.

This process is being developed thanks to a collaboration agreement signed between the Judicial Council and the Ministry of the Presidency of the Dominican Republic, with the aim of expanding institutional support for the degree program.

The advances were presented during the institutional exhibition on the modernization of the registry system recently held by the Judicial Branch of the Dominican Republic, in which the actions aimed at consolidating a more efficient, transparent and accessible real estate jurisdiction were highlighted.
