The message the real estate agent sends

Many real estate professionals miss the opportunity to make a good impression on their first meeting with a client and to send a positive message.

Every interaction that the agent has with others affects their reputation and image in one way or another, and this is something that requires special attention.

Real estate agents send constant messages in their professional environment, with their colleagues, collaborators, clients and people they interact with daily, even outside of work.

These messages that they constantly transmit may go unnoticed, although they are always there, conditioning their professional and personal development.

Many real estate agencies include in their continuous improvement programs the element of interpersonal communication among their agents, and how this affects the company's internal synergies.

Because for real estate agencies, the messages their agents send through their attitudes and behaviors should be a matter of great importance, because ultimately the image and reputation of the real estate agency are also at stake.

That is why the role of the assertive real estate agent is so important at a commercial and organizational level.

What message is the real estate agent sending?

  • The message in business relationships.

Is he known as someone easy to work with?

The real estate sector is very competitive, therefore colleagues are in some ways competitors, but is he respectful to his colleagues?

Do you treat referrals and the people who send them properly?

Are all your business transactions and dealings conflict-free?

For a real estate agency, it is very important to develop and foster strong and respectful relationships between agents, and this will make all the difference, both internally and externally for the organization.

  • The message and the relationship with customers.

Do you maintain contact with your sphere of influence in some way each month?

When was the last time you contacted your previous clients, either by phone or in person?

Do you have a robust database that includes all your current and past customers?

When was the last time you updated your customer database?

One of the best things a real estate agent can do to get referrals is to stay top of mind with their clients and associates.

Keep in touch with them, a message by phone or email, a call, a visit to say hello, by any means it is important that your client collaborators know that you are thinking of them and that you appreciate them.

Instead of constantly chasing new clients and opportunities, leverage the business relationships you've built in the past.
