The 10 tallest buildings under construction in 2025

When the ancient Babylonians dreamed of a Tower of Babel reaching for the heavens, they never imagined that centuries later structures would be built that practically achieve that goal. Today, the competition to build the tallest building is not only a showcase of technology and design, but also a symbol of each region's economic and cultural power. In 2025, this race continues with projects that promise to reshape cityscapes and raise the bar for modern architecture.

The Architecture and Design website published ten of the most impressive skyscrapers currently under construction or in advanced design stages. El Inmobiliario shares them with its readers. These skyscrapers demonstrate how the concept of the "skyscraper" is being redefined.

Jeddah Tower, Saudi Arabia

At 1,000 meters tall, the Jeddah Tower promises to revolutionize architecture by becoming the tallest building in the world. Located in the heart of Jeddah, this tower, designed by Adrian D. Smith —the same genius behind the Burj Khalifa—is a symbol of modernity and ambition for Saudi Arabia.

The project has not been without its challenges: disruptions caused by the pandemic and logistical issues have delayed its completion. However, when finished, it will feature 167 floors dedicated to residences, offices, and a luxury aparthotel. Furthermore, its design will include observation decks offering unparalleled views of the Red Sea, reinforcing its status as an engineering masterpiece.
