Public Works reports dismantling of damaged pedestrian bridge in Sabana Perdida

SANTO DOMINGO.- Brigades from the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) will be dismantling the old pedestrian bridge, located on Charles de Gaulle Avenue, in the Sabana Perdida sector, Santo Domingo Norte, near the cable car station, starting at 8:00 p.m. this Wednesday.

In a press release from the entity's Communications Department, it is noted that the bridge was closed due to its state of disrepair and insecurity, and that after a technical evaluation, its dismantling was recommended.

"For this reason, work will be carried out that will cause some traffic disruptions," the notice states, adding that Public Works will open the bidding process to build a new one.

Public Works apologized to users of this road for any inconvenience the measure may cause.
